Ind vs Eng 2nd Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal Leads the Attack, Scores 2nd Test Ton

Ind vs Eng 2nd Test has turned out to be exceptionally good for upcoming Bharatiya batting star Yashasvi Jaiswal after skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. While Sharma and Jaiswal provided a decent start to their team, the captain fell to English pacer Shoaib Bashir’s delivery on 14. However, Jaiswal continued the momentum with his next partner, Shubhman Gill, who scored a respectable 34 runs before getting picked up by ace pacer James Anderson. However, that did not deter Jaiswal from batting freely without any pressure.

Jaiswal displayed smart batting as he routinely picked the right deliveries to play and effortlessly hit dozens of boundaries. The English bowlers also dismissed his consecutive partners Shreyas Iyer and debutant batsman Rajat Patidar, who walked back to the pavilion on 27 and 32 runs, respectively. Jaiswal crossed the 150-run mark with resounding confidence as he continues to lead the charge of Bharat’s batting attack. Rohit Sharma and Co. thus seem to be gaining the upper hand on Day 1 of the Ind vs Eng 2nd Test, after England won the first Test to lead the series 1-0.
