Hygiene Horror of Hyderabad!
The food safety department of Telangana has taken swift action in response to the alarming conditions discovered at Hyderabad’s renowned eateries. These conditions include the improper storage of semi-cooked food and the presence of stagnant water in kitchens. The Indian Express has reported on the use of expired or stale ingredients, as well as unhygienic practices. Deputy Food Director Vijay Kumar has highlighted issues such as the use of expired products, poor hygiene, and the inclusion of prohibited synthetic colors in food preparation, and has assured the public that these issues are being addressed.
Despite claims of maintaining hygiene, officials discovered discrepancies at eateries such as Rayalaseema Ruchulu and Rameshwaram Cafe. However, the restaurant managers are taking steps to address these issues. Shah Ghouse, for instance, is standing by the quality of their food, despite customer complaints. Rameshwaram Café’s founder, Raghavendra Rao, has pledged a commitment to hygiene and has initiated an internal inquiry in response to the officials’ observations. The restaurant is also actively addressing customer complaints via social media to rebuild trust in their food safety practices.
