How Alcohol-Influenced Creativity is a Myth

Alcohol-influenced creativity is a common belief that has been generally accepted by many people from the creative field. Many artists are known to indulge in alcohol and other substances to trigger their creative self, but scientifically speaking, alcohol-influenced creativity is nothing but a myth. It is said that for an artist, being vulnerable in your thoughts and behaviour is the key to tap into their creative side, and aspiring artists thus end up indulging to get creative results. Because alcohol affects sensory information and cognitive thinking, people tend to think liberally which induces creative thoughts.

This proves that alcohol in itself has nothing to do with creativity. People in the artistic field are better of finding a safe environment where they can truly express themselves and bring out their creative genius. Many famous artists in history have become victims of drug abuse, often at the cost of their lives. Despite this fact, you may find some people advocating consumption of alcohol or drugs just to ‘get creative’, but all this does is damage your liver, brain and overall health. Hence, it is necessary to spread such myths related to alcohol that push people to take up drinking and end up getting addicted.
