Housefull 5: Akshay Kumar to Begin Filming Coming January

Among the many upcoming projects Akshay Kumar has up his sleeve, Housefull 5 remains right at the forefront. The franchise has recorded a stellar run at the box office as its previous four instalments have managed to draw large crowds in the theatres. However, it has been four years since Housefull 4 hit the theatres and a brief period since the reopening of theatres post-pandemic. However, Kumar is finally getting around to filming Housefull 5, which will reportedly begin in coming January, as per a PinkVilla source.

“Housefull is a franchise close to both Akshay and Sajid. They both have cracked a subject that doesn’t just do justice to the world of this mad cap comedy but also raises the stakes. The core plot is locked, and the pre-production is in progress to take the film on floors with the first schedule from January 15,” the source said. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has reportedly allocated a massive budget of Rs. 350 crores ahead of the shoot, which will primarily take place in the UK. Housefull 5 is slated for a release in Diwali next year.
