HM Amit Shah: We Will Fence Entire 1643 km Long India-Myanmar Border 

Union HM Amit Shah has announced a major decision in his recent social media post on national security vis-a-vis border fencing. He expressed the Centre’s commitment to keeping Bharat’s borders safe by covering the entire 1643 km long border that it shares with Myanmar. “The Modi government is committed to building impenetrable borders. It has decided to construct a fence along the entire 1643-kilometer-long Indo-Myanmar border. To facilitate better surveillance, a patrol track along the border will also be paved,” HM Amit Shah wrote on X.

He further outlined the current status of fencing by stating that the covering of border states like Manipur has already caught pace. “Out of the total border length, a 10 km stretch in Moreh, Manipur, has already been fenced. Furthermore, two pilot projects of fencing through a Hybrid Surveillance System (HSS) are under execution. They will fence a stretch of 1 km each in Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur,” he said. Previously, HM Amit Shah had also highlighted that the Modi government is looking to complete the fencing of Bharat’s borders with Bangladesh in the coming years.
