High time state government offices get a revamp
The nation woke up to the welcome news on May 28 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s New Parliament building, which is built with world-class infrastructure. As we aspire to become a developed nation in the next 25 years, it is time to put our focus on state government offices and transform them with modern infrastructure. These offices continue to operate in below par conditions with outdated infrastructure, that negatively affects their daily operations. Sanitation, poor maintenance and old equipment are some of the major issues that government offices face even today.
India’s success story is directly dependent on how well we equip our government employees. We need to revamp state government offices with better technical gadgets, decent furniture and regular maintenance to help them ramp up their operations. Modern technical equipment is especially necessary for them as it will get work done efficiently and in lesser time, which will ultimately direct man-hours toward tasks that require more attention. Taking proactive steps to transform state government offices will boost Indian bureaucracy like never before and help them execute massive developmental with absolute precision.
If the central and state governments can work together to transform these offices at the same pace as the New Parliament building and provide even half of its infrastructure, Indian bureaucracy is very much capable of driving India towards its economic and developmental ambitions.
