First Impressions of the Realme GT7 Pro Ahead of Launch

Realme’s upcoming device GT7 Pro, expected to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, arrives with a striking orange color option and a significant shift in design from the GT6 series. This time, the camera island features three lenses in a prominent setup, moving away from the GT6’s two-circle vertical alignment and drawing design inspiration from the earlier GT3. Realme has taken a bold step on the display front by integrating Samsung’s Eco2 OLED panel, known for its vivid colors and support for 120% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The panel’s vibrant output makes visuals pop, a noticeable improvement at first glance. This choice of a Samsung panel is exciting, given that flagship models from Realme’s sibling brands, such as the OnePlus 13 and Oppo Find X8, have opted for BOE displays.

Underneath, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner offers fast, reliable unlocking, enhancing the overall premium feel. The screen is slightly curved on all four edges, or “2.5D,” as Realme calls it. It offers an immersive effect with narrower bezels that make the display feel expansive. Realme has also retained its high-speed 240W charging capability from the GT3, promising quick top-ups. This feature aligns with the device’s powerful internals. The GT7 Pro is shaping to be an impressive addition to Realme’s lineup, balancing design elegance and high-end specifications. There’s a lot to dive deeper into performance and other features in our full review soon, so keep an eye out for Realme’s official reveal scheduled for Monday, November 4.
