Elon Musk Sues Four Unidentified Individuals
Elon Musk has taken legal action on multiple occasions in recent times, which includes sending a legal notice to Meta after they launched Threads. However, it appears that this time he has sued four unnamed individuals from Dallas, Texas, as per a CNBC report. This lawsuit claims that the four individuals were “unlawfully scraping data of Texas residents.” The accused had reportedly filled Twitter’s sign-up page with automated requests, which put a major strain on the social media platform’s servers and negatively affected the user experience.
The case file against these individuals reads, “The volume of these requests far exceeded what any single individual could send to a server in a given period and clearly indicated that these automated requests were aimed at scraping data from Twitter.” Twitter is now demanding $1 million to make up for the damage. Meanwhile, the lawsuit Twitter had threatened on Threads was under the claims of former Twitter employees sharing trade secrets with Meta to help Threads expand, effectively replacing Twitter.
