Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Skips ED Summon For the 5th Time
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal continues to face heat on the liquor policy case investigation, which is being conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). While the agency has summoned him for questioning for the fifth time, Kejriwal has decided to skip the interrogation as per the AAP’s statement. “Delhi CM and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal will not appear before ED today as well. The party calls the summon ‘unlawful’. We will comply with the lawful summons,” the statement reads.
The party called this summon a vendetta by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. “PM Modi’s aim is to arrest Arvind Kejriwal and topple the Delhi Government. We will not allow this to happen,” the statement added. Consequently, the impact of this political turmoil has reached the streets of Delhi as both the Aam Admi Party and BJP hold protests on this matter. The Delhi Police has been placed on alert as the traffic remains disrupted due to these protests, even as the matter continues to unfold.
