Carlos Alcaraz has scripted history by beating tennis legend Novak Djokovic to win his first Wimbledon title. The two players engaged in a fierce duel in this final as both of them refused to concede. However, Alcaraz finally emerged victorious after a hard-fought battle, becoming the first tennis player since 2002 outside of the four major champions – Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray to win a Wimbledon title. Djokovic had won an impressive 34 consecutive games to reach the finals, but this run was finally put to an end by Alcaraz.

Djokovic was also on the verge of winning his fifth straight Wimbledon title, but the 20-year-old Carlos Alcaraz created history by defeating him and entering the elite club. He opened up on winning this prestigious title, saying, “It’s a dream come true for me. Making history in this beautiful tournament, playing a final against a legend of our sport – for me, it’s incredible. It’s amazing for a boy like me, 20 years old, to reach this kind of situation.” However, Djokovic has also been showered with praise all over the world for reaching this far despite battling multiple injuries and giving Alcaraz a tough fight before the latter could reach the finishing line.
