Budget 2024: Prime Minister Modi Addresses the Nation
As the nation awaits the announcement of Budget 2024, which is due on February 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his insights on the significance of this budget and how it is going to propel the country’s economic growth. He expressed his confidence in the budget, saying, “I am of the firm belief that the country is going ahead by crossing new heights of progress every day. All-round and inclusive development is taking place. This journey will continue with the blessings of people.”
He highlighted that Budget 2024 will also reflect the Centre’s initiative of women-led development. “As the budget session commences today under the guidance of President Droupadi Murmu and tomorrow when Nirmala Sitharaman presents the interim budget – in essence, this marks a celebration of Nari Shakti,” he said. PM Modi also took a jibe at the Opposition MPs who create disruption during the Parliament Sessions, saying, “MPs who habitually disrupt Parliament proceedings should introspect.” This budget, which will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will be an interim budget since the nation is heading towards Lok Sabha elections in the coming months.
