Bomb Threat at Mumbai, Delhi and Other Airports 

A major bomb threat has been intercepted by airport security officials in Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Chandigarh airports. The alarm was raised after they received an email around 10:23 on Wednesday saying that the airports of the mentioned cities would be bombed. The mail was sent by an ID called ‘khilafat.india@gmail.com’, which triggered a prompt response by the CISF officials. They have launched a probe to look into this matter and registered an official written complaint at Jaipur Airport police station, as per IANS. 

Unexpectedly, a bomb threat email was also sent to the Reserve Bank of India Governor’s official email ID that the RBI building, as well as those of HDFC House in Churchgate, Fort, and eleven other locations in Mumbai. While a thorough security sweep is underway in these locations, no suspicious objects or activities have been identified yet. More details on this matter are expected to be divulged soon.
