BJP to Witness a Major Reshuffle Ahead of 2024 General Elections
BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) is gearing up to put its strategy into action ahead of the 2024 elections, which involves a major reshuffle within the party. They will be inducting three new General Secretaries and four secretaries in their party, as per Republic. This decision was taken in a key party meeting between Home Minister and former BJP chief Amit Shah, current BJP chief JP Nadda and National General Secretary BL Santosh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been briefed about these changes, which will likely be implemented in the next two weeks.
While BJP did not face success in the recent Karnataka Assembly elections, they are putting their game plan into action with eyes on the Lok Sabha elections next year. In the previous 2019 polls, BJP crossed a massive 303 seats on their own, and they formed the government with their NDA alliance which collectively scored 353 seats. They will be pushing to repeat, or to an extent, even outdo their previous performance in light of the political alliance being formed by some of the biggest opposition parties, including Congress, NCP, TMC and others. The 2024 elections are expected to take place in May next year.
