BJP Slams Cong. for Making Ailing Former PM Attend Parliament

The ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament has witnessed several political attacks between the BJP and Congress on issues ranging from the violence in Manipur to the Delhi Services Bill. However, the two parties are now at loggerheads after Congress decided to bring former Indian PM Dr Manmohan Singh, who is in an ailing condition, to Rajya Sabha to vote against the Delhi Services Bill. BJP posted on X (Formerly Twitter), “The country will remember this madness of the Congress! Even in such a critical health condition, Congress kept a former Prime Minister seated in a wheelchair in Parliament late at night, all just to sustain their dishonest alliance! Extremely shameful!”

AAP politician Raghav Chadha, however, praised the former PM for being present by saying, “Today, in the Rajya Sabha, Dr Manmohan Singh stood as a beacon of integrity and came especially to vote against the black ordinance. His unwavering commitment to democracy and the Constitution is a profound inspiration. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to him for his invaluable support.” BJP ultimately emerged victorious as the Delhi Services Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha and will now be sent to the President for final approval before it is brought into force.
