BJP Leader LK Advani to Receive Bharat Ratna Award
PM Narendra Modi has announced the nation’s highest civilian honour to BJP leader LK Advani in his recent social media post. In his long message on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi noted that he himself informed the BJP stalwart that the Centre was presenting him the award and sent his wishes. “I am very happy to share that Shri LK Advani Ji will be conferred the Bharat Ratna. I also spoke to him and congratulated him on being conferred this honour. One of the most respected statesmen of our times, his contribution to the development of India is monumental,” he wrote.
PM Modi further heaped praises on BJP leader LK Advani, saying, “He distinguished himself as our Home Minister and I&B Minister as well. His Parliamentary interventions have always been exemplary, full of rich insights.” Advani is among the core founding members of the BJP and has played a significant role in the building of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. While he could not be physically present in Ayodhya during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22 due to health reasons, his contributions towards the temple’s consecration were widely hailed.
