Benedict Cumberbatch reports break-in at home by an armed assailant

Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch recently went through a disturbing experience when an armed man broke into his house in London. The assailant, identified as Jame Bissell, was said to be armed with a knife when he broke inside the house with the actor and his family present indoors, as per Daily Mail. Bissell broke through the actor’s gate, damaged the intercom and made violent threats before the security personnel intervened and arrested the man. The motive behind his crime still remains unclear.  

Benedict Cumberbatch was present in the house with his wife Sophie and their three children when they heard Bissell storming in their garden. It was reported during the court proceedings that the offender allegedly intended to commit arson in the actor’s house. He had previously worked as a chef at a renowned restaurant in the city and had reportedly shared his violent intentions while buying bread at a local shop. He has been given a three-year restraining order that bars him from entering the vicinity of the actor’s residence and anywhere near his family. Benedict Cumberbatch is yet to make a statement on this incident.
