Bathinda Army Station firing case: Police registers case against two unidentified suspects
Bathinda Army Station firing case : Disturbing news had arrived from Punjab yesterday when Bathinda Army Station reported that 4 jawans were killed after two unidentified suspects opened fire at them around 4:35 in the morning. The entire area was sealed off and extensive search operations were carried on where it was discovered that the suspects were wearing masks, carrying an axe and INSAS rifle. They were dressed in kurta-pyjama and were spotted around the army station around the time when the incident took place.
Two of the four jawans who lost their lives reportedly hail from the states of Karnataka, while the other two were from Tamil Nadu. The suspected attackers reportedly headed towards the forest area, and cases have been registered against both of them, as per ANI. The army has found the missing INSAS rifle and a magazine that are said to be used in the firing incident. A joint team of the Army and the Punjab Police will be conducting forensic investigation to find out the origins of that rife. More details about this investigation are expected to be released soon.
