Ayushmann Khurrana back with a Love-Wreck number
Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, recently signed with Warner Music India, has released his new pop song “Reh Ja.”
This romantic track, full of nostalgia and an upbeat tempo, is perfect for the monsoon season. Produced by acclaimed music producer Himanshu Parikh of Yellow Diary and sung by Khurrana, “Reh Ja” aims to resonate with listeners through its themes of longing, everyday comfort, and the pain of separation. The lyrics are deeply relatable, capturing the bittersweet feeling of missing someone. The song was brought to life by director Inflict, who is known for his keen aesthetic sense. The music video features a unique visual element where a girl appears in a projection while Khurrana remains outside, creating a beautiful contrast.
At the song’s launch, Khurrana expressed his thoughts on heartbreak, saying, “Heartbreaks are layered and bring a flood of emotions. I love exploring all shades of romance and have always wanted to write about heartbreaks. It’s raw, unfiltered, and cathartic. ‘Reh Ja’ is my attempt to portray the complexity of heartbreak and the purity of love and longing, even when your heart breaks into pieces.” Khurrana mentioned that the idea for the song came to him about four years ago when synth-pop was still considered indie in the West. He wrote the lyrics, composed the music, and contributed to its programming with Parikh.
