Authorities Remain Vigilant as Munawar Faruqui’s Security is tightened
Stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui is facing a significant security threat after being reportedly targeted by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang
The Bishnoi gang allegedly attempted his life during an event in Delhi last month. In response, the Mumbai Police have increased security around him as a precautionary measure. While the police have confirmed that protection has been provided to Faruqui, they have not officially linked the threats to any specific group. The alarming situation emerged when intelligence agencies uncovered a plot involving gang members trailing Faruqui and even booking a hotel room where he was staying in Delhi for an event in September. Thanks to timely intervention, the attack was foiled, and Faruqui was quickly evacuated and brought back to Mumbai under police protection.
According to a report by the media houses, the increased security for Faruqui followed new intelligence obtained during the investigation into the murder of Delhi businessman Nadir Shah. During the probe, one of the arrested shooters revealed that the gang had conducted surveillance on Faruqui while he was in Delhi. The comedian had been attending an event and meeting with social media personality Elvish Yadav when the threat materialized. Following this, Delhi Police’s Special Cell acted swiftly, ensuring Faruqui’s safety and alerting Mumbai authorities. While no direct confirmation of the Bishnoi gang’s involvement has been made, Mumbai Police remain on high alert, providing enhanced protection as investigations unfold.
