Atiq Ahmed murder: The Atiq Ahmed murder case made headlines all over the country after the gangster and his brother Ashraf got assassinated by 2 gunmen and one accomplice. The shocking visuals emerged all over social media as the moment of the assassination was caught on camera. All three gunmen have now been sent to two weeks of judicial custody for further interrogation by the Allahabad High Court, as per India Today. The three individuals have been identified as Luvlesh Tiwari, Mohit, a.k.a. Sunny and Arun Kumar.
This news comes just a few days after Atiq’s son Asad was also killed in an encounter after UP police got intel that he and his aide Ghulam were planning to attack the police convoy carrying his father Atiq in order to free him. Atique Ahmed had been under investigation for several crimes, including the Umesh Pal murder case. He was taken to Prayagraj for further inquiry before his ultimate assassination on April 15. Luvlesh, Mohit, and Arun were seen surrendering themselves to the police right after they gunned down the gangster. This incident has pushed Yogi Adityanath-led UP government to impose section 144 in the state, which prohibits unlawful assembly. The internet services of Prayagraj have also been temporarily suspended. More details on Atiq Ahmed murder case are expected to be released soon.
