Asus unveils Vivobook powered by Snapdragon-X Chipset!

The Asus Vivobook S 15 S5507 has arrived for review, marking the first time we’ve had hands-on experience with a notebook powered by the new Snapdragon X Elite chipset

This device is also notable for being certified for Windows Copilot+, a cutting-edge AI-driven productivity feature. At first glance, the Vivobook S 15 appears unremarkable, with a design closely resembling its x86-based counterparts. However, beneath its understated exterior lies a powerhouse of a machine. The 15-inch, 16:9 display boasts a stunning 2880×1620 resolution OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits peak brightness, and an impressive 0.2ms response time. It is one of the best displays in the Snapdragon X Elite family of devices. The S5507 is powered by the X1E 78 100 variant of the Snapdragon X Elite chipset, which, although the weakest in the lineup, still packs a punch with its 12-core design and Adreno X1 GPU. It is complemented by 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, which is replaceable.

The Vivobook S 15 excels in terms of connectivity, offering an impressive array of ports, including two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1, a headphone jack, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. It makes it one of the most versatile devices in its class. Other notable features include an FHD webcam with a sliding privacy cover, an IR function for Windows Hello support, a sizable glass touchpad, and a numpad-equipped keyboard. Rounding out the package is a 70Wh battery that supports up to 90W of fast charging over USB-C, ensuring you can quickly top up your device on the go. As we work on our comprehensive review of the Asus Vivobook S 15 S5507, we invite you to share your thoughts on what specific aspects of this new platform you’d like us to focus on.
