Arvind Kejriwal CBI probe: “His statements will be verified,” says CBI
Arvind Kejriwal CBI probe: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was interrogated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for nearly 9 hours on April 16 in the Liquor Scam, for which his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) aide and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested. While Kejriwal criticised the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and called their accusations false, CBI brought him in for questioning about the stated excise policy corruption scam. The Delhi CM has claimed his innocence, but a CBI official has stated that all the statements given by him are yet to be verified, according to Live Mint.
Kejriwal continues to claim that all these agencies are taking this action driven by the BJP-led Central government’s orders. He was called in as a witness in this corruption case after the courts called Sisodia the ‘architect’ behind this scam. However, no charges have been made directly against Arvind Kejriwal in this case by the investigative agencies as well as the judiciary. AAP has recently held an emergency meeting to discuss further course of action in light of the various allegations that have been made during this ongoing investigation.
