Arshad Warsi Opens Up About Breaking His Comic Image
Arshad Warsi is among the most versatile actors in the Indian film industry and has marked his career with several memorable performances. He has been widely acclaimed for his many comic roles like ‘Circuit’ from Munnabhai films, but the actor has expressed in a recent interview with the Indian Express about how long it took for him to break his image as a comical actor. He recalled that even after playing a serious role in Jolly LLB, he was mostly considered for comedy projects.
However, Arshad Warsi added that it was his role in Asur that has earned him recognition as a serious actor, and he expressed his happiness over this growth. The actor also opened up about getting recently replaced from a film project and added that he carries no resentment over this decision. He stated the reason behind this replacement was a toxic work environment in the film sets and that he believes that actors should work in a positive environment where they enjoy themselves and help each other grow. Arshad Warsi was last seen in the second season of Asur, which has garnered great praises from the audience so far.
