Amit Shah projects an insight on the Statistical count of Exterminated Naxals!
Central Home Minister Amit Shah declared on Wednesday that Naxalism’s days have lessened in India under the acknowledgement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He commended the decisive action taken against Naxal insurgents in Chhattisgarh following the formation of the government by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. “Within just three months of our government assuming office in the state, over 80 Naxalites are in Chhattisgarh, 125 apprehended, and more than 150 have surrendered. In this brief period, we are now composed to eliminate the scourge of Naxal terror nationwide, guided by Prime Minister Modi’s leadership,” emphasized the Union Home Minister. The BJP seized power from the Congress in Chhattisgarh following its victory last year in the state assembly elections.
Shah lauded the joint efforts of security forces, particularly highlighting a recent encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district where 29 Naxals got exterminated. He informed the news agency ANI that the crackdown on Naxals intensified following the BJP’s ascent to power in Chhattisgarh. He also acknowledged the invaluable support of the Chhattisgarh police in providing crucial intelligence for combating Naxal terrorism.
“The recent success in Chhattisgarh demonstrates the steadfast commitment of our security forces. Since Prime Minister Modi assumed office, the BJP government has been unwavering in its fight against Naxalism and terrorism. This battle gained even greater momentum with the formation of the BJP government in Chhattisgarh. We established joint security force camps in 2014, which will swell to at least 250 by 2019. Our collaboration with the Chhattisgarh Police has only strengthened in this endeavour,” Shah asserted to ANI. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo announced on Tuesday the elimination of 29 Naxals without any casualties reported among the security forces, hailing it as a significant triumph in the ongoing battle against Naxalism. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, also the Congress candidate for the Lok Sabha elections, raised concerns about the operation, alleging instances of ‘fake encounters’ during the previous BJP regime and asserting that innocent villagers were wrongly implicated as Naxals and detained.
