Amit Shah begins 2024 election campaign in West Bengal starting today
Home Minister Amit Shah is undoubtedly considered to be among the star campaigners of the Bhartiya Janta Party. India’s political atmosphere is quickly getting into election mode and the former BJP chief is wasting no time in reaching out to the masses as he commences his campaign in Birbhum, West Bengal. He is slated to address a public rally in the district and will also unveil a statue in Siuri town on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.
Shah will also be visiting the Dakshineshwar temple near Kolkata before holding a meeting with the top BJP leaders in the state. The party had made major gains in West Bengal in the previous Lok Sabha elections, scoring a total of 18 seats in the state. They will be looking to devise a fresh no strategy to not only repeat their previous performance but make improvements as well. As per Hindustan Times, Amit Shah, PM Narendra Modi and party chief JP Nadda will be holding 40 rallies this year across the state. Shah had recently held a review meeting to surveil the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, where a key G20 meeting is about to take place soon.
