All ‘Adipurush’ shows to have a reserved seat for Lord Hanuman
Adipurush is gearing up for a nationwide release next week after a brief delay, and to mark its box office journey with an auspicious note, the makers have decided to reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman in all the theatres. They have put a statement on this decision which reads, “Lord Hanuman appears wherever the Ramayana is recited. It is our belief. Respecting this belief, every theatre screening Prabhas’ Rama-starrer Adipurush will reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it.” This decision derives from the religious belief that states Hanuman is a living deity.
Adipurush features Bahubali star Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Said Ali Khan as Ravana, Sunny Singh as Rama’s brother Lakshmana and Devadatta Nage as Lord Hanuman. The film displays the Hindu epic Ramayana, which has also been depicted on Indian television twice. While the trailer of Adipurush received mixed reviews, director Om Raut has remained optimistic about the film’s success. Adipurush is slated for a release on June 16 after being postponed all multiple occasions. The film was originally scheduled to be released last year.
