After Reaching 100M Users, Threads Introduces ‘Edit’ Option

Threads has taken the social media world by storm, as it has already crossed a hundred million users just a week after its launch. Its parent company Meta has used this occasion to announce a new welcome feature for the users – the ‘Edit’ option. This will enable them to edit and change their threads even after they have posted it. Along with editing, they will also get ‘following’ option which will allow them to view posts from the accounts they wish to follow.
Threads is Meta’s response to Twitter, who has threatened a major lawsuit against Meta. Twitter has claimed that Meta has used its trade secrets and other confidential information obtained by the former employees of the app. While Meta denies these claims, Twitter’s lawyer had recently stated that they would sue their rivals regarding intellectual property rights. Twitter owner Elon Musk tweeted that he has no qualms against having competition but added that professional rivalry should take place by fair means. Further updates on this matter are expected soon.
