In a disturbing case from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, police have revealed that a Class II boy was allegedly murdered in his school hostel as part of a black magic ritual. The child, whose father is a software engineer in Delhi, was found unresponsive in his hostel bed earlier this week. Authorities believe the boy was sacrificed as part of a ritual intended to bring success and prosperity to the school. Five individuals, including the school director Dinesh Baghel, his father Jashodhan Singh, and three teachers, have been arrested in connection with the crime.

According to police, Jashodhan Singh, who believed in black magic, convinced his son and the teachers that sacrificing a child would enhance the school’s fortune. The school, D L Public School in Rasgawan, hosts around 600 students, with some, like the victim, living in the hostel. Shockingly, after discovering the child’s death, school staff allegedly tried to cover up the murder by transporting the boy’s body in a car instead of immediately reporting it to authorities. The investigation is ongoing, and police are also probing a previous failed attempt to sacrifice another child.
