Adipurush Writer Manoj Muntashir: I Made a Big Mistake
Adipurush writer Manoj Muntashir received overwhelming criticism for the dialogues he wrote for the Ramayan biopic, as many viewers protested that they had misleading and offensive language. While the entire cast and crew on the film have largely maintained their silence on this matter, Muntashir recently admitted his mistake in a conversation with Aaj Tak. “Yes, I made a big mistake…I have learned a lot from this accident, and it was a great learning process. Will be very careful from now on. But it does not mean that we will stop talking about ourselves,” he said.
The Adipurush writer further added, “There is no doubt about it. I am not such an insecure person that I would defend my writing skills by saying that I have written well. It’s a 100% mistake.” In addition to this, Muntashir also apologized for trying to justify his writing during the film’s theatrical run, wherein he responded to criticism by saying that he wanted to make the dialogues more resonating with today’s times, which further added to the controversy. Along with the dialogues, Adipurush‘s special effects also faced severe criticism on social media, which led to the downfall of its box office collection across the country.
