Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya holds review meet amid rising Covid cases
Covid-19 cases have been steadily rising across India in the last few weeks which has prompted the health ministry to take swift precautionary actions to counter this problem. The numbers continue to grow as a total of 6,050 cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours and the current tally of active cases id now 28,303. As concerns regarding a likely fourth wave grows in the country, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has decided to hold a review meet to take count of the situation.
MoS Health Dr. Bharati Pravin Kumar has informed ANI that Mansukh Mandaviya would be holding a review meet with health ministers of all the states and union territories take a closer look at the spreading cases to decide a further course of action. She has further assured that the centre and PM Modi himself will be keeping an eye on the situation and provide all help necessary to tackle the spread. Except for the Sikkim government who has asked its citizens to wear a mask in public, no other major advisory has been issued for the public yet. However, guidelines can be expected to arrive from the centre should the current situation escalate.
