The immensely popular crime thriller series  Mirzapur, which captured millions of viewers as a streaming show, is set to make its grand debut on the big screen in 2026. After the remarkable success of  Mirzapur  Season 3, Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment have announced an unprecedented expansion of this iconic universe with a feature film adaptation. Fans of the series can anticipate a cinematic experience that brings their beloved characters—Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu), and Compounder (Abhishek Banerjee)—to life in a larger-than-life theatrical format. Directed by Gurmeet Singh and crafted by series creator Puneet Krishna, the  Mirzapur film promises to retain the gritty essence that viewers adore while enhancing it for the theatrical experience. The film will have a nationwide release in 2026, and eight weeks later, it will be available to Prime members in over 240 countries and territories, bringing this distinctive Indian narrative to a global audience.

Manish Menghani, director of content licensing at Prime Video India, expressed pride in expanding the franchise, stating that  Mirzapur’s complex characters and gripping storyline reflect the diverse tastes of modern audiences. The film is expected to deepen the emotional connection that fans have with these unforgettable characters. Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar emphasized that taking  Mirzapur to theaters will offer viewers a more immersive experience, allowing them to re-engage with the world of Kaleen Bhaiya and Guddu Bhaiya in a whole new way. Following a highly discussed Season 3, this cinematic venture aims to create a landmark moment for both  Mirzapur and Indian crime drama, promising a grand spectacle for fans.
