Actor Samantha recently opened up about a challenging incident during the shoot of her upcoming series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, where she suffered a concussion due to her ongoing battle with myositis. In an interview with Galatta India, Samantha revealed that the injury led to memory loss, blackouts, and confusion on set, significantly impacting her performance. Despite her condition, she recounted feeling immense pressure to complete the shoot within a tight timeframe. “I had a concussion and forgot names. I completely blanked out,” she shared, recalling her confusion during a stunt sequence. Despite her injury, Samantha was determined to continue shooting, reflecting on how she pushed herself to finish.
“I remember, during my concussion, hearing that we had the set for less than a day, and I thought, ‘I am coming, I am coming.’ Then I remember being confused about what I was doing,” she explained, with the team ultimately calling for a halt to filming. Samantha also mentioned that she didn’t recall being taken to the hospital, expressing surprise that no one suggested it. However, Sita Menon, the show’s writer, clarified that a doctor was on call during the shoot, which Samantha might not remember due to her concussion. The incident highlighted the actress’s resilience as she continued to battle myositis, a condition that likely contributed to the concussion. Citadel: Honey Bunny, which features Samantha alongside Varun Dhawan and is directed by Raj & DK, is part of the Russo Brothers’ global spy universe and is set to premiere on November 7. Fans are eagerly awaiting its release, especially following her candid revelations.
