Putin Acknowledges Modi’s Concern Over Ukraine Conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his concern regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine

In a recent media interaction, Putin highlighted India, China, and Brazil as critical nations with which Russia has maintained diplomatic contact over the issue. Putin referred to Modi as a “friend” and appreciated his understanding of the situation. However, he was uncertain whether India could mediate peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. While acknowledging that it was difficult to establish a clear timeline for ending the conflict, Putin cautioned that setting such a deadline would be counterproductive. He firmly placed the blame for the war on the United States and NATO, claiming that their actions pushed Russia into the conflict.

Confident in Russia’s military capabilities, Putin stated that the Russian army has evolved into one of the world’s most technologically advanced and combat-effective forces. He further suggested that NATO would eventually tire of the ongoing war, asserting that Russia would ultimately prevail. “We will have the upper hand,” Putin said, expressing his conviction that Russia would emerge victorious. Despite his readiness to engage in peace talks, Putin accused Ukraine of abandoning earlier negotiation attempts, which hindered progress.
