Benjamin Netanyahu assures US officials on staving off bomb-drops on Oil or Nuclear sites of Iran!

The Biden administration has reportedly received assurances from Israel that it will not target Iranian nuclear or oil sites in its response to Iran’s missile barrage

The Biden administration has reportedly received assurances from Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that it will not target Iranian nuclear or oil sites in its response to Iran’s missile barrage. It comes as tensions escalate following Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on Israel in October. The U.S. has bolstered Israel’s defence with the deployment of a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery and about 100 soldiers to operate it, addressing some Israeli concerns over potential Iranian retaliation.

However, U.S. officials noted that these assurances are not guaranteed, as Israel’s decisions may change depending on domestic political dynamics. While Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office stated that Israel listens to U.S. opinions, they emphasized that final decisions will depend on Israel’s national interests. The Middle East remains tense as both countries navigate the delicate situation, particularly concerning potential strikes on Iran’s strategic sites, which could have significant implications for the region and the global oil market.
