WhatsApp introduces contact-syncing feature on Android!
WhatsApp is introducing a new feature on Android that allows users to manage contact syncing
WhatsApp is introducing a new feature on Android that allows users to manage contact syncing. This feature, available in the latest beta version 2.24.18.14, is linked to the upcoming ability to use multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same phone. With this feature, users can have separate contacts for each account and choose which contacts to sync to their phone. Users will also be able to manage WhatsApp contacts from their linked devices, giving them more control over their contact list. If desired, users can turn off syncing to their phone from their secondary WhatsApp account. However, even if syncing is disabled, users will still be able to sync individual contacts with an upcoming beta release manually.
By syncing a contact manually, it will be available across all the linked devices. Additionally, a new contact backup option will be introduced, allowing users to restore their contacts if they reinstall the app. This feature is still in development and is expected to be available to everyone in a few months. This new feature provides users with more flexibility and control over their WhatsApp contacts, especially those using multiple accounts on the same device. By allowing users to manage contact syncing, WhatsApp is enhancing the overall user experience and providing a more personalized approach to contact management.
