The United States appears about right in selling weapons to Israel including F-15 Aircraft and Equipment!

The United States has approved a massive $20 billion weapons package for Israel, including F-15 jets and military equipment

The United States has approved a massive $20 billion weapons package for Israel, including F-15 jets and military equipment. The deal, which Secretary of State Antony Blinken greenlighted, includes the sale of nearly $19 billion worth of F-15 aircraft and equipment tank cartridges, explosive mortar cartridges, and army vehicles. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2026 and extend to 2029. The approval comes amid Israel’s ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in a heavy civilian death toll and devastating consequences for the region. The US has been Israel’s biggest ally and weapons supplier. It has sent over 10,000 highly destructive bombs and thousands of Hellfire missiles to Israel since the start of the war in October.

The Pentagon stated that the weapon sale is vital to US national interests and will help Israel maintain a solid and ready self-defense capability. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant thanked US officials for their commitment to Israel’s security and for helping maintain its qualitative military edge in the region. Despite efforts to arrange a ceasefire, the conflict remains unresolved. President Joe Biden laid out a three-phase Gaza ceasefire proposal on May 31, but it has yet to come to fruition. The latest bloodshed in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began when Palestinian Islamist group Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 and taking about 250 hostages, according to Israeli tallies. The US has sought to avert a wider Middle East war, but the situation remains volatile.
