Nita Ambani has praised Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for their historic achievement at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Bhaker and Singh secured India’s second medal by winning the bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed-team event, marking the country’s first-ever shooting medal in a mixed-team event at the Olympics. This victory made Manu Bhaker the first Indian athlete to win two medals in a single Olympic edition. Ambani, an Indian Olympic Committee (IOC) member and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation commended the athletes, saying, “Our athletes create history again with India’s first-ever medal in a mixed-team event at the Olympics!
Congratulations to Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning Bronze in the mixed 10m air pistol.” She also highlighted Manu Bhaker’s success and expressed hope for her continued achievements, particularly noting that Manu competes in the 25m pistol individual event. In the qualification round for the 10m air pistol mixed team event, Bhaker and Singh scored 580-20x points, securing their place in the medal match and ultimately earning the bronze by defeating South Korea. Ambani concluded her statement by wishing all Indian athletes the best for the remainder of the Games, saying, “Go, India, go!”
