A newly constructed non-inaugurated Bihar Bridge Collapsed

A newly constructed bridge over the Bakra river in Bihar’s Araria district collapsed today

A newly constructed bridge over the Bakra river in Bihar’s Araria district collapsed today, linking the Kursa Kanta and Sikty neighborhoods. Thankfully, no casualties were reported as the bridge was not yet accessible to the public due to the incomplete approach roads. The collapse occurred in Pararia hamlet, and Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Ranjan confirmed the incident.

SP Ranjan stated, “A section of a recently built bridge over the Bakra river has collapsed. Authorities have arrived to investigate the situation.” The cause of the collapse is still under investigation. This incident follows a similar event in March when an under-construction bridge over the Kosi River in the Supaul area collapsed, resulting in one death and ten injuries.
