PM Narendra Modi set to Inaugurate projects in Bihar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil an array of development projects worth over ₹34,800 crore during his visit to Bihar on March 2. It marks his first visit to the state since the BJP-led NDA alliance saw a boost with the return of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who leads the JD(U).The official statement highlights that PM Modi will inaugurate various projects in the oil and gas sector, totaling around ₹1.48 lakh crore, spanning across different states, commencing from Patna.
During his visit, PM Modi will kickstart multiple development endeavors worth ₹21,400 crores in Aurangabad around 2:30 p.m. Subsequently, he will proceed to Begusarai, where he will initiate and lay the foundation stone for projects valued at more than ₹13,400 crores.Among the significant announcements, PM Modi will unveil oil and gas sector initiatives, spanning Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Punjab, and Karnataka, alongside the KG Basin. He will also mark the dedication of the ‘first oil’ from the KG Basin to the nation and flag off the initial crude oil tanker from the ONGC Krishna Godavari deepwater project.
The security has been tightened in both Aurangabad and Begusarai in anticipation of the PM’s visit. Notably, the events are expected to be attended by key leaders of the NDA, including the Chief Minister. The BJP presently holds Aurangabad and Begusarai Lok Sabha constituencies.In Aurangabad, PM Modi will unveil national highway projects exceeding ₹18,000 crore and lay the foundation stone for a six-lane bridge over the Ganga. Additionally, he will inaugurate three railway projects, including the doubling of the Pataliputra-Pahleja line and a new 26-km line between Bandhua and Paimar.
Furthermore, the PM will inaugurate 12 projects under the Namami Gange scheme, encompassing sewerage treatment plants in Patna, Sonepur, Naugachia, and Chapra. He will also lay the foundation stone for the Unity Mall in Patna and bolster the ‘One District, One Product’ initiative.In Begusarai, PM Modi will dedicate the revived fertilizer plant of Hindustan Urvarak Rasayan Limited (HURL) at Barauni, revived at the cost of ₹9,500 crores, aimed at providing affordable urea to farmers. A foundation stone is about to be laid by PM Modi for the Barauni Refinery, with an amount extending to ₹ 11,400 crore.
