HM Amit Shah: Naxalism Will End in Chhattisgarh if BJP Wins
HM Amit Shah is in the midst of a hectic election schedule in Chhattisgarh and other states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram, where assembly elections are underway. Shah recently visited the Jashpur and Chandrapur constituencies in Chhattisgarh and took a tough stance on Naxalism, which is still very much present in the state. He said that Naxalism would be completely wiped out in the state if the BJP comes to power, citing their popular ‘double engine’ government with the BJP in power at the Centre and the state.
HM Amit Shah also raised the issue of the Mahadev Betting App scam that has trapped Congress leader and current Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, wherein Baghel allegedly received bribes from the organizers. Shah attacked Congress on the corruption in the state and also highlighted that they stalled the Ram Janmabhoomi judgment and their inaction towards mass religious conversions in the state. Chhattisgarh is fast approaching the final stage of polling, which will take place on November 17 before the counting takes place and the results are finally announced.
