Rajeev Masand: ‘SRK Didn’t Want to Praise Other Actors’ 

Well-known entertainment anchor Rajeev Masand gained mass popularity after hosting his Roundtable Talks, wherein he would interview several film personalities at a time. He eventually moved on from the role and currently works as the COO of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, but he recalled the celebrity egos he had to deal with in his previous job in Anupama Chopra’s podcast. Among the many mentioned examples was actor Shah Rukh Khan’s refusal to come at a Roundtable interview with other male actors. The reason behind SRK’s reluctance was that he didn’t want to praise other actors.
Rajeev Masand added that SRK wanted to come on the actresses’ interview instead. Khan also stated that he would only join the male actors’ interview if Masand invited a younger film star. However, Rajeev Masand stated that he put his foot down as he did not want to uninvite any person who deserved a seat at that table. He also talked about how he had to often request his friends in the industry and pull strings to get celebrities on his show.
