Marvel halts Thunderbolts production due to the ongoing writers’ strike
Hollywood is dealing with a major strike organised by the writers, which has impacted Marvel’s upcoming venture – Thunderbolts. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the production of this film has been indefinitely postponed, and it will only begin once this strike comes to an end. Thunderbolts revolves around characters with darker shades, such as The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), and Red Guardian (David Harbour), among others, who have been put together as a team.
Marvel is currently working on the production of Captain America: New World Order, whereas the third edition of the Deadpool franchise is also set to begin in London. The superhero film studios recently released Guardians of the Galaxy 3, which recorded an above-par commercial success. However, their previous release Antman: Quantumania failed to impress at the theatres. Marvel is thus making heavy investments in its new spinoffs and it will be interesting to see how the audience welcomes them. Meanwhile, only time will tell when Thunderbolts shall resume production.
