The Kerala Story starring Adah Sharma is performing exceptionally well at the box office, having already earned Rs. 135 crores in just ten days. The film promises to rapidly increase its collection the coming days and has thereby exceeded all expectations. Lead star Adah Sharma has expressed her sheer joy in a conversation with Times Now, saying that “You can spend a lot of money on promotions and publicity, but to get a space of 2 centimetres in someone’s heart, it is really expensive and you cannot put a price to it.”
She further added, “I have been getting messages because terrorism is an actual thing and people watching it are also happy that we made this film. For me, it means the world.” The Kerala Story has been in the news for having stirred up a major political controversy. It covers the sensitive topic of religious conversions that have taken place in the state for terror recruiting of young girls. While the movie has been banned in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh has made this film tax-free. Despite the controversy surrounding this movie, The Kerala Story continues to do extremely well at the box office.
