WHO rolls out the new Covid-19 policy
The World Health Organisation or WHO has strategized a new Covid policy that would be fit for implementation in the future. According to WHO’s directions published by Director Dr Tedros himself, the preparation to counter this pandemic should be made from a preventive and controlling point of view rather than an emergency response. The health forum has laid out a tangible plan of transition from the former phase to the latter phase. This is a clear indication that the coronavirus pandemic is now entering the endemic phase, which is considered as the last stage of the virus spread.
WHO also aims to provide assistance to underprivileged countries during this process. It recently shared a positive update on this situation that showed that Covid deaths had dropped by 95% since the beginning of the year but added that there should be no compromises on the precautions. WHO’s report further added that investments in science and health must be increased and sustained at any cost for a better future.
