Mukul Roy reaches Delhi hours after he went ‘missing’
The reports of TMC leader Mukul Roy going missing started doing rounds early today after his son Subranshu Roy said that he was untraceable. The senior politician was said to be unwell in recent times, and Subranshu had even informed the Airport Police not to allow his father to travel under these circumstances. However, news has surfaced that Mukul Roy was spotted at Delhi airport and was confronted by reporters. He claimed that he was there for some ‘special work’ and not for any medical treatment.
Mukul Roy was originally a TMC leader before he briefly joined BJP. He went back to TMC once again in 2021 and has been with the party ever since. But these unexpected developments have raised suspicions on whether he has plans to go back to BJP in yet another switch. On the other hand, Subranshu continues to convey that his father is not joining the BJP, and he would not be in a proper mental state even if he did. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether Mukul Roy has indeed arrived in Delhi to come back to BJP.
