IPL 2023: Fans buckle up for a promising CSK vs RCB clash
IPL 2023: The upcoming match between MS Dhoni–led Chennai Super Kings and Faf du Plessis – led Royal Challengers Banglore at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is one of the most awaited contests of this season. Although playing at their home ground gives RCB a certain advantage, the records show that CSK has far more wins against RCB (19-10). Both teams are currently at the lower end of the points table and will be giving their very best to push themselves further up in this tournament.
Virat Kohli remains a key batsman for the RCB, and he holds an impeccable record in this season against seamers. MS Dhoni will surely hand the ball to Ravindra Jadeja in the key overs and will likely play one or maybe two other spinners as well. The option of having the ‘Impact Player’ card gives both teams a chance to make a turning-point switch in the playing eleven and surprise the other team. The match is thus evenly poised between the two, with only a marginal edge to CSK owing to their record.
A lot is being speculated about whether IPL 2023 is going to be the last season of ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni, but there is no confirmation on that yet. However, if this does turn out to be true, it would be Dhoni’s last match against RCB in Banglore, unless both of them make it to the playoffs and they face each other in this city again.
