MI vs KKR: Mumbai Indians clinch win against KKR as Arjun Tendulkar finally makes his IPL debut 

MI vs KKR: Sachin Tendulkar fans had been eagerly waiting for his son Arjun Tendulkar to make his debut for Mumbai Indians, and their wish was finally answered in their last match. Kolkata Knight Riders batted first, and Venkatesh Iyer took charge of the attack despite losing two partners in quick succession. He looked in a fine touch since the very beginning and smashed boundaries all over the ground. He raced to a spectacular hundred and ended up with 104 in just 51 balls. Iyer hit 6 fours and 9 sixes with a superb strike rate of 203, and his efforts helped KKR reach 185 runs.  

In the second innings, yesterday’s impact player Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave Mumbai Indians a good start, with the latter scoring a commendable 58 runs in 25 balls on the back of 5 fours and 5 sixes. Stand in skipper Suryakumar Yadav finally ended his slump by hitting a quick 43 runs with 4 fours and 3 sixes.  Tilak Verma and Tim David also put up a crucial middle-order partnership, and Mumbai Indians comfortably cruised to 186 runs in just 17.2 overs.  

Although his mammoth efforts went futile, Venkatesh Iyer was awarded the ‘player of the match’ title despite being on the losing side.
